Runmetry: Run & Train Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 13, 2026

01

Scope of this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Runmetry: Run & Train handles information while you record outdoor sessions, add gym or indoor training, review progress, connect Apple Health, and attach a personal workout moment on iOS.

02

Workout and progress records

You may create workout type, start time, duration, distance, pace, elevation, effort, exercise sets, calories, goals, notes, and body-weight records. Runmetry uses these records on the device to present dashboards, route details, training mix, weekly goals, personal records, and progress charts.

Records you enter or import are personal training history. The app does not use them to create a remote athlete profile or for advertising-based audience building.

03

Location during an outdoor workout

If you choose an outdoor route activity and authorize location access, Runmetry receives location coordinates, time, altitude, speed, and accuracy information while the workout is being recorded on screen. It uses those readings to calculate distance, pace, elevation, and the route shown in that workout. Route recording runs only while the live workout screen is in the foreground: location readings stop when you leave the app or lock the device, and they resume when you return, so a recorded route can contain a gap for that period.

You can decline or later revoke location access in iOS Settings. Route tracking will then be unavailable, while manual, indoor, strength, mobility, and other non-route records can still be used.

04

Apple Health choices

Apple Health is optional. When you choose to connect it and grant the requested permissions, Runmetry may read the Health workout and body-mass records you allow and may read heart rate, resting heart rate, and step-count information where you authorize access. It may save completed workouts, active energy, distance, and body-weight entries that you choose to synchronize. Apple controls the Health permission screen and lets you change these choices in the Health app or iOS Settings.

Health information is used to place selected records into your local Runmetry history and to synchronize the items you request. Apple Health data is not used for advertising, sold, or used to identify you outside the app’s training functions.

05

Optional workout moments

After a workout, you may choose to add a photograph or voice note. Camera access lets you take a new workout image. Photo Library access lets you select an existing image. Microphone access lets you record a post-workout voice note. Each permission is requested only after you choose its related action. You may decline it without preventing route recording, manual training logs, or progress views.

These attachments are stored with the workout on the device. Runmetry does not use them for facial recognition, voice analysis, or remote coaching analysis.

06

Local storage and retention

Runmetry saves its workout history, goals, body-weight records, routes, and attachments in its local application-support storage. Information stays there until you delete an individual workout or attachment, remove the app, or erase the device. Deleting a workout also removes the local attachments attached to it.

If you enable an Apple device backup, Apple may include app data according to your backup settings. Health records you write or read are retained and controlled through Apple Health independently of Runmetry’s local copy.

07

Apple services and sharing limits

Runmetry relies on iOS services, Apple Health when you connect it, and map rendering for route views. Those services are governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy practices. Runmetry does not operate a remote archive for your route, training records, body-weight log, media attachments, or Health selections. Information may leave the app only when you use an Apple service you have enabled or an iOS sharing destination you choose.

08

Your controls and security

You can delete local records in the app and manage Location, Health, Camera, Photo Library, and Microphone choices through Apple’s controls. A local deletion does not remove a Health record you previously synchronized, a device-backup copy, or material separately shared outside the app. iOS helps protect private app storage, but no electronic storage method is completely secure; protect the device that contains your history.

09

Children and updates

Runmetry is not directed to children in jurisdictions where a parent or guardian must consent to data processing. We may revise this Policy when the app or applicable requirements change. The current version will be provided with the app’s legal materials.
